Facebook Skin for Messenger is a small program that transforms the stock appearance of Microsoft Messenger into one that looks just like Facebook. The same colors, overall theme and style of Facebook are inserted into the Messenger log-in, profile and chat display. This gives Messenger an entirely new feel, and this adjustment does not interfere with the performance of this popular chat application.
It is important to keep in mind that this software does not change the functionality of Microsoft Messenger. The buttons, chat window and features remain pretty much the same. It doesn't connect Messenger with Facebook either, so there is little practicality associated with using this utility. However, the new skin and theme look great.
I was shocked when my online status bar looked just like the one in Facebook, but I was disappointed to learn that this program doesn't change how my friends appear when they are online.
